We were asked to remove damp plaster from lower sections of walls in a converted barn in Mundford, Norfolk. It was agreed that a Hydraulic Lime rending and top coat would be applied after removing the plaster. There was no need for Lime pointing work as the existing pointing was in good shape.
You can see from the pictures that deep depressions left in the masonry were filled with brick pinnings plus a dubbing out coat before the render coats were applied.
The work was then finished with a top coat of Lime and Fine Sand ready for Lime Washing or Silicate Paint.
